Drought Desertification Coastal Zone

Manages Desertification and Drought Related Control Projects in the arid zone of the Country;
Respond to National Emergencies as they relate to Drought, Desertification and Coastal Zone Management;
Manages Forest Degradation and general Afforestation Projects and activities Nationwide;
Respond to control of water hyacinth, earthquakes/ tremors/ establishment of seismic situations;
Preparation of approved reports of the management of Ecological Project Office;
Liaison with States and Federal Government Ministries, and Agencies on issues pertaining to Drought, Desertification and Coastal Zone Management Project;
Management of Drought, Afforestation and Forest Degradation; monitoring the implementation of the progress of the approved projects.
