<p>The Department of Public Affairs and Bilateral Relations has the mandate to monitor the performance of various sectors of the economy and to assess the level of compliance with the implementation of Government economic policies, programmes and projects by Agencies of Government with a view to making appropriate policy observations, findings and recommendations</p>

<ul>
	<li>Evaluate economic reports from Diplomatic Missions, State Governments, Federal Ministries, and Non-Government A</li>
	<li>Process applications for exemptions from incorporation in Nigeria by Foreign Companies and Allied Matters Act (Cap 59)</li>
	<li>Participate in the activities of bilateral Chamber of Commerce and Industries, both within and outside Nigeria</li>
	<li>Evaluate proposals and petitions on Economic issues from the Ministries, Departments, Agencies, and the public;</li>
	<li>Serves as Secretary/Secretariat to Committees and Panels constituted by the SGF;</li>
	<li>Represent the SGF on Bilateral/Multilateral Ministerial Committees and Commissions;</li>
